On behalf of the Sigma Delta Omega Chapter, I would like to welcome you to our website! Sigma Delta Omega, located in Elk Grove, is known as the “Small but Mighty” chapter of Northern California. Our chapter is home to notable members—including a charter member—who have served at the regional and international levels, and is comprised of talented professional women who excel in the public and private sectors in the fields of medicine, law, education, finance, law enforcement, social work, technology, and government. Our fun, intimate chapter enables us to foster relationships while upholding the ideals of our founders.

Since our chartering on January 20, 1990, we have provided continuous service to the Elk Grove and greater Sacramento community. We are a small chapter with a big vision that makes an impact in the local community, and identifies opportunities to provide supreme Service to all Mankind throughout the US and abroad. Our annual fundraiser draws local dignitaries to bring awareness to the programs that we support and to raise money to provide scholarships for high school students. Collaboration with community partners support our efforts in the areas of: Educational Enrichment, Health Promotion, Family Strengthening, Environmental Ownership and Global Impact, which are outlined in our International Program Launching New Dimensions of Service.

It is my hope that our website enlightens you to our great legacy. If you are an Alpha Kappa Alpha member who is seeking to connect with a graduate chapter, we hope that you will consider joining us. I encourage you to explore our website and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay informed of our wonderful chapter events and service activities.

Best,

Kamieka Hairston, President
Sigma Delta Omega Chapter
